„Stru-ctu-re” (site-specific installation)
„Stru-ctu-re” is a site-specific installation presented in the Inner Space gallery.
Initially, viewers found it difficult to recognize where space began and where it ended. Installation elements – fragments of brick and ceiling – impersonated the space in which they were placed.
Their fragmentation, incompleteness allowed to see what was hidden inside the structure. It turned out that the columns and the ceilling contained water, which explained the high humidity in the basement.
„Stru-ctu-re” is my diploma project carried out at prof. Wojciech Kujawski’s Sculpture Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan (present name: the University of the Arts Poznan).
As a site-specfic installation, „Stru-ctu-re” uses space and exposes the processes of amorphous shaping and building structures for that what is fluid and elusive.
